[Important] To all runners:Please be sure to read this thoroughly!

Kyoto Marathon 2023 is coming soon. Are you ready, everyone?
The instructions below are very important, so please be aware of them.

■Runner Check-in (February 17th and 18th)
・Runners, who applied through our English/Chinese website, please print out your number card (bib number) voucher and bring it with you.
・Please fill in the emergency contact and agreement sections of the voucher in advance.

・To Runner Check-in/Finish Area (miyakomesse)
Recommend route from JR kyoto statioin
JR Kyoto Station → (Subway Karasuma Line 5 min)→ Karasuma Oike Station → (Subway Tozai Line 5 min) → Higashiyama Station → (11 min. walk) → Miyakomesse

○To Starting Area (Nishikyogoku Athletic Park)
Recommend route from JR kyoto statioin
・JR Kyoto Station → (Subway Karasuma Line 4 min) → Shijo Station → (walk to transfer)→ Hankyu Karasuma Station → (Hankyu Kyoto Line 6 min)→ Nishi-kyogoku Station → (walk)→ Nishikyogoku Athletic Park

・JR Kyoto Station → (Direct Bus Service)→ Nishikyogoku Athletic Park
You can buy only at Okoshiyasu Welcome Square with Runner Check-in
*First come first serve 1,750 people
*You can not buy on the race day

・Number Card (bib)
・Please attach your number Card to your outermost layer of clothing so that one is visible on your chest (with timing chip) and the other is visible on your back.
・Please be sure to fill in the emergency contact information on the back portion of your number card.
・Do not take off your timing chip until you finish the race. Our staff will collect them after the race. Please be aware that if you lose or forget to return your timing chips you are required to pay 2000 JPY replacement fee.

■8 closing points with time limits
・There are 8 closing points with time limits. Be aware that you will be unable to continue running if you miss any of the closing times.

●Kyoto Marathon Participation Guide is a great source of information including how to check-in , access to the check-in and starting sites, precautions etc. Please bring it with you after printing out.
●Designated Kyoto Marathon Bag for Personal Items
・You will be provided a bag (70cm x 50cm) for personal items at check-in time. At the starting area, you can check the bag in at the baggage check-in counter and it will be returned to you at the Finish Area.
・Remember to affix the baggage seal to your bag, and then place your personal items inside; finally be sure the bag is closed tightly.
・Any remaining items should be taken to the General Information Counter to be shipped to the Finish Area (fee required).
・We can not accept valuables.
○Staff at the Help Desk at Runner Check-in, staff at the General Information Counter at the Starting Area, and at Finish Area are ready to provide multilingual support. Also please look for staff members with sticker on their chests and back with “English” or “中文”, as they are able to provide support in that language.
